Little Leroy Jenkins

I know I said I'd update a play-doh Barry every week, but something came up.
On Monday the 21st of May we received another dragon :) Little Leroy Jenkins.
Leroy Jenkins accidentally crawled into a box that was being delivered from Queensland. He was left in that box for about 2-3 weeks when a friends of ours found him. So we took him in gave him a bath 3 times to get all the dirt off.

After Little Leroy Jenkins was all clean we heated up a heat pack and put it in his box to warm him up. He acted just like a baby, active and crawling around one minute and sleeping the next. He liked to fall asleep in my hand and was barely the size of a Tim Tam.

That night he slept in his box in my pyjama draw.
On Tuesday I had to go to school, Yay, meanwhile my dad found a tank for Leroy. It was my brothers birthday and we were having the family up for dinner and cake. I spend as much of the afternoon as I could holding and keeping Leroy warm. Between Monday and that afternoon we managed to feed him 1 1/2 grapes and a bit of carrot. I put him to bed before all the little kids got here so they wouldn't know he existed and try to touch him with their sticky fingers :)
Wednesday I had school as well and played with Leroy when I got home.
My sister had her friend over who was excited to meet Leroy. We tried to feed him crickets with no avail and settled with a bit a grape. Later on that night is when it started. I had Little Leroy Jenkins on a heat pack, not too hot, when he started to roll over. I freaked out and picked him up out of his box. I thought he was too hot and was overheating so I took him into the kitchen and placed him on the cold counter. I tried to get him to drink water but he was frozen and couldn't move. He had suffered a seizure. There was nothing I could do. The seizures kept coming and all I could do was hold him. Eventually it all stopped and so did Leroy. He had passed away. We found a little show box for him and buried him underneath the tree in our backyard. He had been through so much and in the end he couldn't pull through. We comforted him and loved him for the three days that we had him.
That's the story of Little Leroy Jenkins.

Elvis Barry

This is one of the many Barry in Play-Doh pictures that I have.
I haven't taken any new cute pictures of Barry for a while.
So I've decided to post a picture of Play-Doh Barry once a week until I run out.
So enjoy this weeks picture.

Updates

Sorry for the lack of updates.
I'm in my final year of schooling... Before University,
so that means piles of homework that block out the sun.
I think after this year I'll never be able to touch paper handouts again.
Barry is trying to help me as best as she can
but the lack of most of her fingers makes Maths challenging.
I'll try to post pictures of Barry more frequently.
As you can tell I've decided not to change her name,
seeming as no one commented (:D so alone),
although my friend now calls her Barrette, Bah-Ret.
Any who I'm off to go to English Language homework!

I Need Your Opinion!

As the title suggests I need your opinion on something...
Barry's name.
Since the discovery of Barry's true identity,
my mum has been calling her Barbara, which I don't like.
I still prefer to call her Barry but people find it weird.
I want to know what you think.
Should I call her Barbara? Barry? Or something else...

Video

About time I uploaded a video of Barry.
We were both just sitting and watching TV
when Barry noticed the yellow button on the remote.
I have a feeling she is attracted to vibrant colours,
she once tried to eat the purple stars on my pyjama pants.

Gender Bender

I know, it's been a little over a month since we posted,
but life has been busy.
I also bought a new laptop
and have been trying to transfer all of my files.
Excuses, excuses, I know.
On with Barry!
Yesterday I learnt something...
Barry is actually a she not a he.
I used the reliable sources of youtube and google to check.
So if you're wondering, no I'm not going to change her name.
I like the name Barry and it suits her face!
