Winter

Every-time Barry gets cold he goes dark
and tries to give me puppy eyes so I pick him up (it works).
I grab my fluffy dressing gown, put him on my chest,
and wrap him up like a burrito.

The Beginning

Barry came in a cardboard box, fat with food
and anxious to jump into my fruit bowl.
He came from a home that had lost interest in him and gave him away.
When I first met him his little beady eyes freaked me out
and I thought he was out to get me.
I arranged his tank and made it all pretty to have him poop all over it
and scratch the newspaper.
The first days were spent asking my sister to pick him up
because she has longer arms than me.
I was actually scared and thought seeming as my sister has 4 blue tongues,
she wouldn't freak out and accidently throw him at someone's face.
After a couple of days I learnt that he was a softy
and all those spikes were just for show.
...
That's when the fun began.

Welcome

Hi!
Welcome to The Adventures Of Barry.
After much nagging from a couple of my friends,
I've decided to make a blog about my beloved pet Barry.
Barry is an adult Bearded Dragon who can be a bit of a sook at times,
and completely lovable the next.
I hope you enjoy.
